As bus services restart following the COVID minimal service offering providing information to the customer on the changes is important.

Managing rapidly changing service offers poses particular problems for transport information providers such as local authorities and system suppliers.

This webinar will explore the data needed and constraints that exist to ensure a better cross industry understanding with the aim of improving cross working to ensure that the customer receives the information they need to be able to know when public transport is operating.

DfT recently published the draft statutory instrument for the Bus Open Data programme. it covers a load of dates and data formats so we've produced a quick summary for you: (this has been updated to include small operator hosting levels)

Working with Transport for the North we have developed a guidance document on implementing SIRI SX and its use in sharing disruption data between systems. The document includes use cases and sample XML.

There is a lot of interest in vehicle loading and capacity so we have put together a short paper on the data exchange formats that exist now to enable you to provide vehicle occupancy data.

We are releasing this as a public document, for free, rather than just to members because of the interest in this topic in the wider transport community as we try to support the rebuilding of confidence in public transport following the COVID pandemic.

The aim of this profile is to specify a consistent use of elements and a consistent way of writing TXC that will be used within the DfT Bus Open Data Service.
